This pistachio matcha yogurt bark is light, sweet, and utterly delicious!
Let’s hear it for easy desserts! This extremely refreshing, light, sugar-free, low-carb pistachio matcha yogurt bark is just that—simple and quick to make. You just have to be patient for the two hours it takes for the yogurt to become bark!
This matcha dessert recipe is vegetarian and gluten-free as well, and if you’ve tried any desserts like this, you know they can be just as delicious as recipes that are stuffed with sugar. (If not better!) The matcha flavor tastes amazing blended with the yogurt.
This pistachio matcha yogurt bark is not only sweet and utterly delicious; it will also give you a major antioxidant boost. These antioxidants help to prevent severe diseases like diabetes, Alzheimer’s, heart problems, and even some types of cancer, such as breast, colon, stomach, and throat cancers. Matcha is also a detoxifier and an immune system booster, and is rich in fiber.
Matcha’s antioxidants also assist in battling the free radicals that want to make your skin look old, and consuming matcha also increases your body’s rate of burning calories due to its EGCG. EGCG also helps decrease the development of new fat cells. So, younger-looking skin and help with calorie-burning. Yes, please!
Matcha green tea powder also contains loads of L-theanine, an amino acid which relieves stress, promotes relaxation, and increases focus and concentration. This L-theanine also balances out the caffeine in matcha powder—meaning you’ll have energy, but not “jitters” or a caffeine crash later on. You’ll be calm, but not drowsy.
So, as you can see, matcha comes with a lot of praise…and with good reason! It’s a true superfood that has so many amazing health benefits. Besides, it’s perfect for adding to treats like this yogurt bark, and it tastes incredible!
