Healthy and Minty Butter Matcha Drink Recipe (Paleo)

Paleo Minty Butter Matcha Drink

A hot, minty matcha pick-me-up for your busy mornings.

The perfect ingredients of coconut oil, peppermint, grass-fed butter, and healthy matcha green tea powder are the components of your newest favorite go-to morning matcha drink. The butter here really makes the drink something special—and the matcha powder, of course!

Like coffee (but much better for you), this minty butter matcha drink will give you a big kick of energy that will last for hours. It contains healthy fats and is perfect for those of us who tend to skip breakfast.

The matcha tea powder in this recipe has all sorts of healthy properties like antioxidants and phytochemicals. The issue lots of people have with coffee is that it gives you a caffeine crash eventually, and it can also make you feel edgy, but while matcha tea powder provides you with the aforementioned kick of energy, it won’t get you all jittery and on-edge the way coffee can. (The peppermint essential oil is a good energizer too, by the way.)

Other matcha health benefits include heightened focus, alertness, relaxation, and memory. And although it gives you energy, it also calms and soothes your brain, making it the perfect thing to prepare you mentally and physically, keeping you in a good frame of mind for the day’s work ahead.

That’s not all. Matcha powder has been associated with prevention against diabetes, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, high cholesterol, and even cancer. It aids in a healthy heart, more youthful skin, detoxification, weight loss, and healthy gums and teeth. It’s also an immune system booster that has the ability to combat inflammation, oxidation, and aging.

With this recipe, make sure to use grass-fed butter (like Kerrygold) and pure essential peppermint oil—just one drop! Enjoy this lovely and energizing morning drink.
