Pull out your blender and try this giant power-punch of kale blueberry matcha breakfast bowl recipe!
Have you tried a smoothie bowl yet? If not, you’re totally missing out. Smoothie bowls are absolutely the yummiest. They’re easy to throw together—this one takes five minutes, by the way—and they make you feel absolutely amazing!
This kale blueberry matcha breakfast bowl recipe is filled with great things, but the standouts are kale, blueberries, chia seeds and, of course, matcha tea powder.
Protein-rich, low-fat kale contains lutein, a nutrient that’s important for your eyes, as well as potassium, calcium, zinc, folate, and vitamins A, K, and C. It’s also filled with protein, antioxidants, minerals, fiber, and iron. Besides all this, kale has been known to help with weight loss.
The chia seeds are packed full of protein too, plus fiber, amino acids, omega 3, and minerals. And as we all know, bananas are a great source of potassium, which is an essential mineral for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function. The bananas are also good for your blood sugar, digestion, and heart health, and ward off hunger cravings by helping you feel fuller longer.
As for the blueberries, they are one of the most antioxidant-rich fruits around. They also reverse inflammation and, because of their gallic acid, they have the ability to protect our brains from degeneration, neurotoxicity, and oxidative stress. Clinical studies have even discovered that blueberries can combat cancer without harming healthy cells.
Matcha green tea powder has a bit of all of these, plus a lot more. It has the antioxidants like kale and blueberries; amino acids like the chia seeds; the heart health of bananas; and also the cancer-fighting properties of blueberries.
