The Japanese Believe Blood Type Reveals Your Personality

Do you know your blood type? In Japan, blood type has long been an essential indicator of personality and temperament. Recent scientific studies also show that people with different blood types also have different health issues and dietary needs.

Are you Type A, B, AB or O? Discover your blood type personality below.

TYPE A

Personality:

Kind and responsible, Type A make great friends because of their listening abilities, sensitivity, and patience. Due to a penchant for “people pleasing,” however, Type As need plenty of time alone to recharge their batteries and refocus on their needs instead of those of other people.

Health:

A harmonious, structured life and a supportive community are essential for a Type A’s health and happiness. This blood type personality tends to internalize stress while keeping a calm exterior, which can have deleterious effects on the health. Managing inner turmoil through exercise and stress-reduction strategies can greatly increase vitality and longevity.

Diet:

Type As may have difficulty metabolizing fat and animal protein, and will flourish on a vegetarian diet. Pure, fresh, organic foods eaten in their natural state are crucial, including whole grains, soy proteins, fruits and vegetables.

TYPE B

Personality:

Outgoing, passionate and friendly, Type B is the classic “people person” of the personality spectrum. They are creative, strong, and in tune with their surroundings – and themselves.

Health:

Type Bs tend to produce higher levels of cortisol, and can be susceptible to inflammation, lingering viruses, and autoimmune diseases. However, the Type B is generally more physically fit and mentally balanced, with fewer risk factors for disease than any other blood type.

Diet:

Type Bs should avoid wheat, corn, buckwheat, lentils, tomatoes, peanuts and sesame seeds, which can slow the metabolic process. Lean meats are fine, but skip chicken – and eat a diet high in green vegetables, eggs and low-fat dairy.

TYPE AB

Personality:

Calm, cool and collected, Type AB is a popular person – a free-thinker who is ruled by rationality instead of emotion. They see the big picture, yet can also be critical and chameleon-like (in good ways and bad).

Health:

AB is the rarest blood type – only 5% of people are Type AB, which blends the health benefits and the challenges of Type A and Type B. That’s because Type AB is the only blood type that exists not because of evolution, but because of intermingling.

Diet:

Type ABs are adapted to eat meats (like Type B) but have low stomach acid (like Type A), which means that meats are not metabolized well and tend to be stored as fat. Foods that contain chemicals known as lectins are also to be avoided.

TYPE O

Personality:

Type O is a natural leader: confident, optimistic and strong-willed. Organized and determined, they often experience high levels of success – but they can also be prone to workaholism.

Health:

Type Os may be predisposed thyroid disorders and ulcers, the latter because of a higher level of stomach acid. But they can easily digest meals that contain protein and fat, and metabolize the cholesterol in animal proteins.

Diet:

Type Os have the oldest blood type, and will do well on a paleo-style diet that is high in meal and low in simple carbohydrates. Carbs, especially those from grains, are quickly converted to fats and triglycerides, and may cause inflammation.

Epic Matcha Green Tea

I enjoy a cup of green tea from time to time, usually in the afternoon as a slight boost when I don’t want to drink coffee. Matcha green tea allows me to get just that, with a full bodied flavor and also all of the benefits of green tea but in a much more concentrated dosage. I was easily able to mix this with both hot water and hot milk. There were no clumps and it dissolved after just about 10 seconds mixing with a spoon. I’ve tried other Matcha teas before but this one by Epic Matcha is one of the better brands, both in terms of how well it dissolved as well as flavor.

BETTER than Coffee

***Edit 05/11/15: I have been taking this product for a few weeks now and I finished it. I cannot say how much I love it. Totally 5 stars! I have great energy and I feel great!! I definitely recommend this product 100%. The only thing is you have to sweeten it because it you use alone with water or milk it will be bitter.

BETTER than Coffee!!! I LOVE this. I quit drinking coffee 2 weeks a go and decided to get my caffeine from green teas. I Decided to try this product. Well I LOVE IT. I made myself smoothies with it and I feel energized without crashing and without getting the jitters. The taste is just bland so I recommend using a little honey or agave to give it a sweeter taste. I am giving it four stars ONLY because the price seems a little steep. Also a must try is an iced matcha latte
