Warm and soothing, yet a powerhouse of energy for your day.
If you want to have an eye-opener in the morning, but don’t want to overwhelm yourself too early in the day, this vegetarian matcha latte is for you.
This super-good-for-you caffeine boost will provide you with the energy and alertness you’re looking for in a morning wake-up, but because matcha contains L-theanine (an amino acid that helps balance the caffeine out), it won’t cause a caffeine crash hours into your day—and it won’t get you all jittered up the way coffee does, either.
This is why matcha green tea powder is an ideal substitute for coffee. The increased endurance from matcha powder can last up to six hours, so it’s great for any time you need extra focus.
The L-theanine within the matcha creates calmness without drowsiness, and promotes concentration and clarity of mind, as well as memory. So basically, you’re getting a kick of energy while getting “relaxation signals” from your brain. It’s truly a win-win!
Besides all this brain power, matcha tea powder also offers lots of other health benefits. The catechins in matcha have been shown to have antibiotic properties which promote overall health, and a good dose will provide substantial quantities of potassium, vitamins A and C, iron, protein, and calcium. Matcha powder is also a powerful detoxifier capable of naturally removing heavy metals and chemical toxins from the body.
And there’s more. Matcha powder is also a huge weight- loss aid. Consuming green tea increases your body’s rate of burning calories, and exercising immediately after drinking matcha helps you burn 25 percent more fat than you would if you didn’t drink it. Studies have also shown that the catechins in matcha powder increase the body’s rate of calorie burning each day in general.
So, try this vegetarian matcha latte in your mornings! Matcha is clearly an energy-giving, calorie-busting powerhouse of health for your mind and body.
