Just the thing to begin those cool autumn mornings! This eye-opening spiced matcha latte is comforting, delicious, and oh so healthy.
During the fall, even the most hardcore coffee lovers tend to go for seasonal spiced lattes instead of the regular morning cuppa joe. There’s just something about autumn spices that give us a mental boost during these colder months.
We have a matcha spin on a spiced latte that will not only brighten your mood, but will also give you a healthy dose of antioxidants and plenty of other health benefits.
Besides the obvious health properties of the matcha powder (such as helping to prevent cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease), the cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger used in this recipe take this healthy green drink to a whole new level.
Turmeric, known as the “queen of spices”, is a natural antibacterial and antiseptic that has some truly outstanding benefits such as reducing inflammation and cholesterol, relieving arthritis, providing a powerhouse of nutrients, and improving immunity.
Most everyone knows that ginger is a huge helper when it comes to keeping nausea down. But did you know that ginger can also reduce muscle pain, help with indigestion, and improve period cramps?
As for the cinnamon—it’s much more than just a super-sweet spice. It has been noted for its medicinal benefits for thousands of years, since it contains loads of antioxidants (much like matcha tea and turmeric), is also an anti-inflammatory, and is a warrior against bacterial and fungal infections.
So, as you can see, there’s a big power punch of nutritional benefits in this spiced matcha latte. Cozy, spicy, and amazing for you!
