Vanilla Chai Matcha Smoothie Recipe

A creamy vegan smoothie with the flavors of spicy chai, fresh ginger, and earthy matcha.

If you’re a chai lover, you’re going to fall head over heels for this vanilla chai matcha smoothie recipe. The vanilla chai here dominates the flavor, and the matcha green tea powder gives this smoothie so many health benefits, it’s not even funny.

Combining all these tasty flavors and nutrients, this smoothie is sure to become a staple in your morning or afternoon routine.

Matcha green tea powder can be added to pretty much any recipe, but smoothies are probably one of the simplest to do. (Just toss it into the blender and go for it!) Matcha is a heaven-sent superfood that has the ability to help with the smallest of body concerns (such as oral care) to the biggest (such as cancer prevention).

Packed full of antioxidants, matcha has truly incredible health properties—most notably, cancer-kicking catechins that basically stop tumor growth and can cause cancer cells to die.

Matcha also acts as a weight-loss aid, causing calories to burn faster than they normally do. It’s a detoxifier that rids your body of chemical toxins, an anti-inflammatory, and a warrior against Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and diabetes.

As if this weren’t enough, matcha powder helps your skin look younger by fighting off free radicals. It also contains L-theanine, an amino acid that balances out the caffeine in the powder in order to prevent a caffeine crash. So you get all the energy of the caffeine without the edginess.

Smoothies are also fabulous because they work as a nourishing breakfast, a healthy snack, or a delicious dessert. They’re great post-workout because they replenish nutrients, and they’re also good treats to serve to guests.

This vanilla chai matcha smoothie recipe will spice up your day and keep you feeling energized. Try it and see!
