This easy recipe will leave you feeling satisfied and energized. Plus, you’ll be doing your body a huge favor by giving it a little matcha, the superfood of superfoods!
Because of its high antioxidant level, matcha green tea powder is a total powerhouse of disease booty-kicking.
Studies have proven that those who consume matcha tea powder are less likely to develop heart disease, and have a decreased risk of stroke. Matcha also fights the risk of type 2 diabetes, as well as lowering the risk of colon, stomach, throat, bladder, prostate, and even breast cancer. There’s also a compound in matcha tea powder that reduces the formation of deposits in the brain that lead to Alzheimer’s disease.
Matcha tea powder is also a great detoxifier, an immunity booster, and is great for lowered cholesterol and stabilized blood sugar levels.
Besides all these matcha health benefits, it’s also known to decrease stress due to its L-theanine, which is a natural stress-buster. The L-theanine also helps to produce dopamine and serotonin, brain chemicals that help you relax, improve your mood, and increase your memory.
That’s not all. Matcha powder also helps you burn calories—especially if you consume it before a workout—and boosts your metabolism. In fact, matcha has catechins that help you burn fat about four times faster than you normally would. Matcha also helps your skin look amazing by reducing inflammation and slowing the aging process by attacking the free radicals that can make your skin look older than it is.
