An eye-pleasing and health-conscious matcha dessert made with America’s favorite cookie!

Made from everyone’s favorite cookie (Oreos are vegan, by the way), dark chocolate, and matcha green tea powder, this dessert is very popular and is a no-guilt indulgence.
This recipe calls for a big tablespoon of matcha tea powder, which is full of incredible health benefits for you, including major nutritional perks such as added protection against type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, stroke, and even certain types of cancer (including breast and prostate).
Besides this, matcha has outstanding mental health properties. It contains L-theanine, which gives you energy, focus, and improved memory and concentration, but also helps you feel peaceful, calm, and relaxed.

No-Bake Matcha Oreo Tart RecipePublished: 2016-01-09
- 36 Oreos, without the cream
- 3 tablespoons pailleté feuilletine
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons dark chocolate
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- one tablespoon Epic Matcha green tea powder
- 1 cup thickened cream
(for the tart base)

- Pulse the Oreos (without the cream filling) in a food processor until powdery. Combine this with the pailleté feuilletine, and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine butter and chocolate, and microwave for 1–3 20-second intervals, stirring. *Note: The chocolate won’t look like it’s melting. It keeps its shape until it’s mixed.
- Add the butter/chocolate mixture into the Oreo mixture and combine until evenly moist.
- Using a clean tart pan with a removable bottom, press the tart base mixture evenly all around the tart pan. Take care to ensure that it’s an even, flat base.
- Refrigerate for at least an hour so that it sets properly.
- Once the tart base is set, gently pour the cooled matcha ganache (directions below) into the tart pan.
- Put into the refrigerator to set for about 3 hours.
- Heat the cream until it comes to a boil.
- Very carefully, pour over the white chocolate chips to melt them, then stir until smooth.
- Whisk in the matcha powder, making sure that all the matcha powder is completely dissolved.
- Set aside and let cool.
